Mendeleev ecological expedition will take place in September

The Mendeleev ecological expedition to Baikalsk will take place from September 9 to 17, 2021. Schoolchildren of "Mendeleev Classes" and students of universities of the scientific and educational consortium "Advanced EcoTechnologies" at the age from 14 to 21 from six regions of the country will go to conduct their own research on the unique lake. The second ecological dictation "EcoTalk" will also take place within the framework of the expedition.

The preparation of the expedition is carried out with the joint activities of the Federal Environmental Operator (ROSATOM enterprise), the network of Information Centers for Atomic Energy, the Irkutsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature, the Scientific and Educational Consortium "Advanced EcoTechnologies".

The teams of the expedition participants included authors of the best projects in the field of solving the problems of air and soil pollution, eliminating accumulated environmental harm, alternative energy from the Irkutsk, Saratov, Kirov, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod regions and the Udmurt Republic.

The expedition program includes themed days: hydroecology, anthropogenic impact, biodiversity, as well as entertainment and educational programs from the organizers of the competition. Participation in the expedition will reload the understanding of the value of ecology and the relationship of all elements of the Earth's ecosystem.

During the expedition, the participants will get acquainted with the methods of scientific research work in the field of ecology; carry out independent laboratory work on the basis of research vessels; will get acquainted with the ecosystem of Lake Baikal and scientific works that are now being carried out in the water area of the lake.

On September 15, on the territory of the Baikal State Natural Biosphere Reserve in Tankhoi, the second ecological dictation "EcoTalk" will take place.

The federal environmental operator pays great attention to scientific, educational and technological support of large environmental projects within the framework of the national project "Ecology".

On the initiative of the Federal Environmental Operator, the Federal Consortium "Advanced EcoTechnologies" was created, which united the leading universities in the regions for the implementation of the national project "Ecology". Website: http://ecotehnologii.com/

Together with the RCTU named after D.I. Mendeleev, within the framework of the Federal Scientific and Educational Consortium "Advanced EcoTechnologies", the "Mendeleev Classes" project is being implemented with the aim of introducing advanced educational programs for the development of science and human potential in the field of ecology (waste disposal and recycling).

The Mendeleev ecological expedition is aimed at popularizing ecological thinking among students and schoolchildren, vocational guidance for schoolchildren who are interested in the study of chemistry and ecology, and the formation of research experience.

Ecological dictation "EcoTalk" is an ecological educational action aimed at uniting the country's residents around the topic of ecology and increasing the ecological culture of the population of the Russian Federation. The event will be held under the patronage of the State Duma, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Corporation "ROSATOM". The organizer and initiator of the project is the EcoTalk Association together with the Green Planet Charity Foundation of Fedor Konyukhov.

The federal environmental operator, as part of the national project "Ecology", is creating in Russia an integrated system for handling waste of I and II classes.

The integrated system presupposes the creation of a state information system for accounting and control over the management of class I and II waste and a production and logistics infrastructure for processing this waste into secondary products. In fact, a new industry is being created for the management of production and consumption waste. The new industry will require new highly qualified personnel who need to be trained from school.
