RosRAO together with ROSATOM’s regional center for Central Asia, held talks with Kazakhstan oilfield operators and introduced the services for the processing of oilfield waste – metal pipes and oil sludge contaminated with natural radionuclides.

The presentation of the Russian waste processing technologies was carried out at the request of the Kazakh side, one of the largest subsoil users in the Caspian region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the region, production and accumulation of industrial waste with a high content of natural radionuclides, in particular oil sludge and tubing, is observed. RosRAO provides a wide range of services in the field of managing accumulated oilfield waste with a high content of natural radionuclides, the company is also ready to identify a number of priority specific measures aimed at implementation of joint projects to optimize the system of accumulated waste management.
